Refund policy

Sale items in all categories are not eligible for return or exchanges. If you wish to cancel an order you must submit your request within 24 hours.

ASHLEY ZHANG COLLECTION ITEMS & MADE TO ORDER BRIDAL

All custom or Ashley Zhang Jewelry collection items are final sale. Each piece is hand crafted and made to order. For this reason we do not accept returns.

READY TO SHIP ENGAGEMENT RINGS

We accept returns or exchanges only on ready to ship rings 7 days after delivery. Items excluded from this policy are rings that have been resized, or any requested modifications. Upon receipt of return, we will issue you a refund minus shipping costs and transaction fee (3% this is the amount our card processor charges us.) to the original method of payment within 2-5 business days. We do not offer free return shipping. No exceptions to our return policy.

If you paid for your item via wire transfer you will not be deducted a 3% fee and will receive a full refund minus the cost of shipping.

Warranty:

We are pleased to offer a warranty on AZ items from the date of purchase. We will repair anything that goes wrong due to the manufacture of the jewelry. Wear and tear or damage caused by the wearer is not covered. Our warranty does not cover loss, theft or damage to your ring and/or center stone. This is where third-party insurance such as Jeweler’s Mutual comes in and we highly recommend that you insure your ring.

The details:

The customer is responsible for shipping costs both ways for all warranty or repair work. We ship fully insured, overnight, signature-required via FedEx. Most roundtrip shipments will cost $90 in the continental US, but costs are subject to change and may be higher for items valued over $25,000. Contact us for international shipping costs.
Any work, including resizing, done by an outside jeweler voids the warranty of the ring.

Complimentary Lifetime Services:

We offer complimentary cleaning and prong checks for any jewelry purchased from Ashley Zhang. (Note: shipping, if needed, is the responsibility of the customer.) Rings and fine jewelry require maintenance in order to last a lifetime so we encourage you to get your ring checked 1 - 2 times per year. If you live in or visit NYC, reach out to us to schedule a time to pop by for your free cleaning and prong check! It only takes 1 business day and you’ll be amazed at the before/after from the cleaning!

VINTAGE & ANTIQUE JEWELRY

We want you to be 100% happy, always. If you are just not in love with your item please let us know and you are welcome to return the item. We accept returns or exchanges only on vintage and antique items 7 days after delivery. Items excluded from this policy are rings that have been resized, or any requested modifications. Due to the delicate nature of vintage and antique rings, rarely, damages can occur during the resizing process. Should a damage occur Ashley Zhang Jewelry will complimentary repair or replace stones if needed during this process while maintaining the integrity of the original piece. Because we are altering the ring to your requested size the item is still subject to our return policy. Upon receipt of return, we will issue you a refund minus shipping costs to the original method of payment within 2-5 business days. If your order is above $5,000, we charge a transaction fee (3%), this is the amount our card processor charges us. If your order was international (outside of the USA) we cannot refund duties or customs fees.

We do not offer free return shipping. No exceptions to our return policy. Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Returns

Email us first to determine that your piece is, in fact, returnable.

Once you get the go-ahead, use a box. Don’t put loose jewelry in a paper envelope, it will almost certainly tear through the paper or damage the item, and possibly get lost in the mail system. Mail the package to us via USPS Registered Mail or insured UPS/Fedex to the address listed below. Please note if you choose to return an item with your own shipping we are not responsible for lost or missing packages. You must send us tracking information. We highly recommend insuring any items being returned.

Exchanges

We offer an item to be exchanged for free, minus the cost of shipping 1 time after the original purchase. Items are only eligible for exchange 7 days after delivery date, so please contact us to process an exchange before that date. Items excluded from this policy are rings that have been resized, or any requested modifications. If you are not happy with your exchanged item and would like to make a second exchange you will be charged a 5% restocking fee for each additional exchange. Exchanged items are not available for refunds, store credit only. When you are offered store credit, that credit will never expire. No exceptions to our exchange policy. Only regular priced items may be exchanged, unfortunately sale items cannot be exchanged.
