At the center and done in 14 karat yellow gold is a gorgeous prong-set opal cabochon weighing approximately 1.6 carats. There are four prong-set diamonds at north, south, east, weighing an approximate total diamond weight of 0.12 carats. The semitransparent clear background color of the water opal shows great play-of-color in the pink/orange/yellow/and blue spectrum that will keep you gazing into the "crystal ball". Originally a Victorian era stickpin, it was converted into a ring using an antique ring band from around the same time period, circa 1900. We love this delicate ring worn on its own or worn with other favorite pieces.
