Deco Demantoid Diamond Halo Ring

$3,900.00

This elegant ring employs the hallmarks of the early Art Deco era to great effect to showcase the rarest of garnets: the demantoid! Nestled in an open platinum setting, the verdant 0.35 carat demantoid shines amidst the ring's scrollwork and lace-like basket. First discovered in Russia in the early 19th century, the demantoid owes its name to mineralogist Nils Gustaf Nordenskiöld. Mesmerized by the stone's extraordinary brilliance, Nordenskiöld declared it demantoid after its "diamond-like" appearance.
