Engraved Crest Signet Ring

$1,100.00

This signet is a classic antique style ring that has been used for centuries. The engraving in latin reads “Optimum Pati” which translates to “the best suffer”. The motto was most likely originally a war cry or slogan. Mottoes first began to be shown with arms in the 14th and 15th centuries, but were not in general use until the 17th century. The engraving also features a bird with an object in its beak. This ring is made in 14 karat rose-yellow gold.
