A cool onyx ring from the late Victorian era! The flat black onyx is cut in a approximately half inch diameter circle. Sitting at the center of the onyx is a chunky old mine cut diamond in a gold buttercup setting. The diamond sparkles and pops against the black onyx. The ring shank is made of 18 karat gold. We estimate that the onyx and 14k buttercup setting were once a pin that had been nicely converted to a ring.
