Since about 1900, platinum came into use in the making and manufacturing of fine jewelry. Often another white precious metal known as iridium is combined with platinum. It is exceedingly rare and hard, and has a high melting point. The higher the melting point, the more difficult to work with since melting metal and reshaping it is what jewelry construction and design is all about. This gorgeous ring features a white facing old European cut diamond estimated 0.84 carats. The side old European cut diamonds are estimated 0.20 total carat weight. This ring sits comfortably low profile and the minimal design allows it to be stacked with any wedding band.
